I need photog advice, please!

Last year we took J, J and J to a professional photographer for their 5, 3, and 1 photos. Well, over $100 later, I left with pictures that I was less than thrilled with. So, I decided to *try* to take their pictures this year myself. I have a great SLR camera that is awesome. I took Jackson outside to try to snap a couple and see what I could get.

I did get a few that I liked. So next, I decided to tackle photoshop and see what I could do with the pictures. Here is where you come in - I need your help deciding if they are ok. I also need advice on which ones look the best. So without further ado:
