A TINY LITTLE UPDATE

I got an email from my agency yesterday afternoon that said *if* we don't make the July 8th travel group (and she appeared to still think this was possible), the next group will most likely be July 22nd! July 22nd may not seem like a big deal to most, but that is a whole week sooner than I thought! So worst case scenario at this point is travel in less than five weeks! That makes me feel tons better!

So in preparation of my upcoming travel, I have officially started the lists. I gotta tell you - these are the mother of all lists. I have a list to keep up with my lists. Seriously. I have packing lists, gifts for family lists, treasures for Willa from her homeland lists, shopping lists, food lists for the boys... it goes on and on. It's just so overwhelming to think of all that needs to be done.

I was thinking about this blog and how to best update while I am gone... I am not sure what the best thing is. Blogger is blocked in China - so it isn't as easy as just blogging. I can email the posts in, but that would be hard if I want to share a lot of photos. I may set up a separate shutterfly site for photos. I am not sure.

Then I think hm... how many people actually even read this blog? Is it worth my time trying to figure it out? I will think about it some more.

I can't believe I am 5 weeks (maybe only 3) away from seeing, hugging and loving on my Willa! Whew this has been one doozy of a year!

Yes, there are many who read your blog and follow your journey! (I know I often wonder the same thing about my blog. Is it just there for my entertainment?! HA! But, summer is so busy I know I for one have a difficult time keeping up daily ... ) Be encouraged that people are praying for you!!!)

Incredible news about your impending travel plans. And thank you so much for stopping by the Blessingsahundredfold site and the apron give-away and bookmarking it! Stop by often and keep following along. I'm prayerful that God will be providing in so many beautiful ways and will push down any roadblocks on this journey for The Rippee's! I cannot wait to share any photos or specifics when they become available. I can only imagine how difficult that was for you to have Willa's photo/picture and NOT be able to share it until you got the offical paperwork that made it okay to post! Hope Father's Day is blessed for your family. Did you ever get any Mandarin DVD's from PoppingPanda's? I just ordered a set for ND and was curious if you had any feedback if you ordered.
Blessings,
Valerie

So glad to hear you are traveling soon! Wonderful news! Selfishly, I'd love for you to blog while in China because I just love following the blogs of people while they are there. And, I personally think it is worth blogging just so that you have a daily record of your days there to share with your child years from now. You think you will remember everything, but you don't. I suggest you ask someone to post the blog posts for you. That's what I did and it was really easy for me then. I just emailed one person my post and the pictures and she took care of everything!

This is really good news. I cannot wait to see your sweet little girl in your arms. Oh what a glorious day that will be.

There are a lot of people just like me, that do follow a lot of blogs but do not post comments. So to help you feel better about worrying over your blog I want to say YES there are LOTS of us lurkers who do follow your blog and want to follow your journey to get that cute little girl.

Love,
Sheila

Just so you know I check in on your blog all the time, and would love to follow your journey to China. I am a fellow AWAA mom, and I wonder too if anyone reads mine. We are waiting on our article 5 and then TA so we are just behind you. This is our second China adoption, and I SO remember the lists :). So happy for you and your family.
